Happy 2nd Birthday to my Eve, my everything. Before we get into Eve’s party, a moment for my mother—the queen of organization and aesthetics. Growing up, we had a gift closet. A full-on wrapping station. A ribbon box. And pre-wrapped presents. All labeled. I aspire. One day, I’ll get there. Until then, it’s me panic-buying toys three minutes before go time. Check the list below for some of my go-to gifts ages 1-3.
Now, Eve. My middle child soulmate (I get it, babe). Sass for days, but also the coziest. Also? My best sleeper. Which puts her in the lead most days. Don’t @ me. We celebrated at Playgarden Prep in Tribeca. If you don’t have a gym in your building or live nearby, it’s worth checking out.
They handle everything. You show up, celebrate, and leave with the gifts. Major. I’ve hosted enough DIY birthdays (four, to be exact) to know that schlepping tables and blowing up balloons myself is… over. That said, I still needed it to look right. So yes, I ordered all the decor and had them set it up. My sister-in-law (an actual event planner) handled the cake and balloons.
The tablescape inspo? A set of paper plates I fell in love with. From there, it turned into Eve’s (my) dream table, no theme, just cute. She loved it — (She had no idea it was even her birthday).
